A day most beautiful
To set aside all earthly care
And lift our thoughts to heav’n
How sweet it is to have the joy
That comes through pard’ning grace!
To say with boldness, as a son
“Father who art in heav’n.”
To hear the words that bring sweet
Peace
Sent through Thy servant’s mouth
A broken heart that weeps for sin,
And sees the gates of heav’n.
And if thou come to Jesus Christ
To wash Thy sins away
The one who knows and sees the heart
