HQ Trivia game for Android goes live in the Google Play Store, play to win real money

Popular mobile game HQ Trivia has finally made its debut on the Android platform  after a short beta testing period . Although the game shows as “unreleased” in the Google Play Store, it appears that everyone can download and play it. HQ Trivia has quickly become a phenomenon after being released on the iOS since it's one of the few mobile games that allows players to win real money. If you make it to the end of the game and you collect at least $20, you can actually transfer the money to your Paypal account. But how exactly does  HQ Trivia  work? Well, it's pretty simple. Every day at 9 pm EST and weekdays at 3 pm EST, there are multiple trivia games hosted by a human player. Participants receive a push notification on their phones letting them know to launch the app. Once a question is asked, players have 10 seconds to choose the correct answer. Star Citizen players can become a pirate, a trader or a mercenary and travel between lots of solar systems The makers of the crowdfunded space game Star Citizen are being sued for copyright infringement and breach of contract by development studio Crytek. Crytek claims Roberts Space Industries (RSI) and Cloud Imperium Games "have caused substantial harm" to them. Crytek said it would seek damages and an injunction that stopped further use of its CryEngine game engine software. Star Citizen's creators said the suit was "meritless" and added that it would defend itself "vigorously". Development of Star Citizen began in 2012 and since then it has raised more than $170m (£126m) in crowdsourced funds from fans keen to play the ambitious space trading and combat game. Star Citizen is the creation of gaming veteran Chris Roberts, who was behind the development of the iconic Wing Commander series of space games. 'Recovering costs'

'Flirty secretary' smart assistant taken offline in China

The avatar, called Vivi, was designed to be built-in on a new virtual reality headset sold by iQiyi, the video platform owned by search giant Baidu. The voice-controlled assistant could recommend films and video games, but could also be made to flirt and dance. Vivi has now been taken offline for "modification", said iQiyi. 'Beta-testing version' The virtual reality headset was first announced in March, and Vivi was promoted as a built-in "girlfriend". Vivi appeared in an office-like setting wearing a blouse and short skirt, and said phrases such as "I am your girlfriend. You must love and adore me". One reviewer said the avatar could "perform sexy dances with her enchanting figure". US newspaper the Wall Street Journal asked iQiy

Calls for Twitch to police 'sexual streaming'

High-profile streamers are complaining about the way Twitch enforces its guidelines Scroll through the In Real Life (IRL) section of streaming site Twitch and you could be forgiven for thinking, now and then, that you have landed on a camgirl site. Scattered among the artists, cooks and professional eaters are a growing band of young women wearing revealing clothing while they game. Some go further and entertain fans by dancing or by doing a series of suggestive exercises, like squats, to tempt people to subscribe to their channel or to hand over Twitch's micro-currency - bits. Dubbed "booby streamers" these young women have been a feature of t:Twitch for years but their numbers have grown significantly over the last few months, prompting a wave of complaints. On social media many parents have posted messages about what their younger children are seeing when they visit the site, expressing alarm at how much of a screen supposedly showing in-game act

What is Twitch?

Twitch is a live, video-streaming service focused on broadcasting people playing computer games. Recent estimates suggest it has 15 million daily active users and more than 2.2 million people use it to stream their gaming sessions. It has now broadened the content it shows and many artists, board gamers, role-players and others use it to show what they are up to. Twitch grew out of Justin.tv which was set up as a way for people to broadcast video streams of their lives. Twitch was bought by Amazon in 2014 for $970m (£723m).
