Forget about robops. A robotic horse came out, and you can ride it

Image
  When it comes to mass production of robots, manufacturers usually present their ideas in the guise of electronic animals - robotic pets cause excitement in all age groups and demonstrate the power of progress. But the Chinese manufacturer of electric cars Xpeng Motors decided not to get attached to the classic model of robotic dogs and gave out on-the-mountain know-how - a robotic horse! The manufacturer claims that this is not only the world's first robotic horse, but also a means of transportation - you can ride it! The robot is oriented towards children, which can be seen both in the appearance of the horse and in its dimensions. In addition to the transport function, Xpeng promises the robot's perception of the environment and the ability to intelligently and emotionally interact with the owner. The robotic horse is able to express emotions, reacts to touch and voice commands. Equipped with cameras and lidars, the robot is capable of autonomously transporting small loads;

An easy way to find out who is secretly using your smartphone while you are away

Image
A smartphone in the modern world is even more intimate than underwear.  We get nervous if a stranger picks it up while locked - after all, notifications from instant messengers and applications can pop up on the lock screen.  And as an unlocked device, many do not even trust their relatives at all. You can find out who is secretly using your phone while you are away using the free   WTMP (Who touched my phone)  app  .  It works in the background, monitors any activity with the device, and also provides it with additional protection. If someone takes your smartphone,  WTMP  will do the following: Records a successful or unsuccessful unlock attempt.  If there are too many unsuccessful attempts, the program can turn off the phone or delete all data from it. If the gadget is unlocked,  WTMP  will remember the time, take a picture with the front camera, and start remembering which applications and files a stranger opens. The application stores reports of each unlock attempt.  Moreover, th

Negative on the Internet: how online communication affects a person's energy

Image
In the age of modern t:technology, many people communicate more on the Internet than in real life. Virtual friends have long replaced real ones. Correspondence in the network leaves an imprint on the energy of a person, because among users there are many unpleasant personalities, energy vampires. Sometimes the Internet becomes a source of negativity and destroys protection. The destructive power of the Internet There are people who only get positive emotions from the Internet. If you ask them how they do it, they will immediately respond that they do not talk to strangers and do not discuss anything in comments on forums or social networks. They also don't view news about politics. All this is the strongest source of negativity. Undoubtedly, a person experiences a storm of negative emotions when arguing with someone in the comments. He gets upset, angry, irritated, and eventually takes out a grudge against someone in his inner circle. This reduces energy protection, makes

The pros and cons of using a phone at school should be known to every parent who decides whether to give their child a mobile phone to school. However, before making such a decision, you should definitely first familiarize yourself with all the" pros "and" cons " of using the phone at school. Relevance of phone use in school Nowadays, it is difficult to imagine life without gadgets. All sorts of mobile phones, laptops, tablets, and smartwatches filled the world with their abundance. Few people do not enjoy these benefits of technological progress. Children are no exception and from an early age not only use various gadgets, but also own their own. Given the relevance of this issue, before making such a de

You're underrating the power of HDR displays on your smartphone

Image
Until today, I have not been able to try the HDR10 technology on a smartphone. In truth, I didn’t even want to evaluate it, because it seemed that there wasn’t much benefit from it, but I was very mistaken. And in this article I’ll try to explain what exactly made me change my position and why now I recommend everyone to buy phones with HDR10 support. Surprisingly, I was able to evaluate the technology on a rather cheap smartphone from Xiaomi - we are talking about Mi 9 Lite. The device is equipped with a 6.39-inch superAMOLED display with FullHD resolution and HDR10 support. HDR10 supports applications: Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Google Play Movies, VUDU, Disney + and others. Before evaluating such a screen, I knew what HDR10 was and why this technology was needed. It significantly improves picture quality and makes dark areas very dark, and bright, on the contrary, very bright. This technology is typical to support precisely AMOLED displays because of the high contrast and b

What happens if Google disappears?

Image
It's not every day you think about this question. But let's imagine for a moment that Google has suddenly disappeared. The company no longer exists. What will become of the world? What will happen to the Internet? What will happen to those who use the company's services every day? We will try to answer all these questions in this article. And you should start with the most important thing: what does Google do and what does it give to the world? Of course, the most important thing is the Google search engine. Without it, users around the world will not be able to efficiently and quickly find the information they need. They will start looking for an alternative to the search engine. Bing and other similar little-known search engines may replace it, and in some countries, local options similar to Yandex search will become popular. For Russia, the lack of Google search should not become a very big problem. by the way, Yandex search appeared much earlier than Google's so

See Reason Why Your Smartphone Can Make Emergency Calls Without A SIM Card

Image
If you’re an active mobile phone user, you will notice that your phone can actually make emergency calls without any SIM. I know you must be wondering how this is possible since there’s no mobile number. Let me explain how your SIM works. SIM as you ought to know stands for Subscriber Identification Module and it helps to identify the cell service subscriber that is trying to connect to the network. Every user has their own SIM, so network providers can direct calls to that specific phone and track usage (and charges) individually. The identifying number of a SIM card is called an ICCID. Emergency Numbers: 122 and 199

Photos Bicycle Built By Ghanaian Man That's Able to Ride On Water

Image
A few months ago, YEN had an encounter with a young Ghanaian inventor, Frank Darko, who had created a bicycle that could move on water. He revealed that his invention started in August last year and with a lot of effort and hard work, he managed to finish his creation and tested it in a shallow dam in his area. Now, the young inventor believing in his finished work, decided to test it out on the sea to prove to the world that his invention had come to stay. In the many pictures that the young man sent to YEN, some people were seen taking turns to experience the unique invention. Speaking in a telephone conversation with YEN.com.gh, Frank Darko revealed that he wanted his invention to help the school children who had to swim to school, find an easier path to their classes. This fact notwithstanding, he revealed that many individuals have also requested to have him make a copy of the bicycle for them. He said he wanted to contribute to the development of Ghana with his i

Image
Mercedes has revealed the all-new 2019 Mercedes-Benz G550 Geländewagen a.k.a G-wagon at the detroit auto show and it marks the rebirth of an important automotive icon, and it doesn’t disappoint. The iconic Mercedes-Benz G-Class off-roader has been around since 1979 and has never had a major redesign in all that time, until now. Retaining the SUV’s signature boxy shape, the G-Class grows in every dimension for 2019. It’s 2.1 inches longer than before, 4.8 inches wider, and sits on a 1.6-inch longer wheelbase, but despite this, the 2019 G is around 375 lbs lighter than its predecessor. That’s thanks to increased use of high- and ultra-high-strength steel, and aluminum for the hood, doors, and fenders. It also features a multifunction steering wheel with touch-sensitive controls for the infotainment system, metallic accents, and wood or carbon fiber trim. An optional Active Multi-contour Seat Package adds additional power adjustment, massage, ventilation, and rapi

Nokia tallies strong feature phone sales in third quarter of 2017, led by iconic 3310

Image
Research firm Counterpoint Research pulled out its trusty slide rule and computed that during the third quarter of 2017, which covered July through September, Nokia licensee HMD Global sold 2.8 million Nokia smartphones worldwide. During the same time frame, the company sold 13.5 million Nokia feature phones. For the quarter, Nokia placed 16th among t:smartphone manufacturers and third among those producing feature phones. Combined, Nokia was the eighth largest handset producer worldwide for Q3. The 2.8 million smartphones that Nokia sold globally during the third quarter easily topped the 1.5 million intelligent handsets rung up by Nokia for the first half of 2017. Recent reports show that Nokia continued to do well in the fourth quarter of 2017, which ended at the end of last month. t:Nokia's feature phone division had strong results last year thanks to the re-release of the iconic  Nokia 3310 . The phone originally appeared in 2000 and 17 years later, an updated model with 3G

CAD-based renders of the Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra reiterate fingerprint on back

Image
Sony's Xperia XA line is still fairly young, with two generations of devices behind its back. It usually introduces a pair of devices — a “regular-sized”  XA  and phablet-grade  XA Ultra . They are midrange handsets with super-thin side bezels, but still hefty chin and forehead, and are geared towards selfie-loving camera users, with high-res front and back cameras and LED flashes for both. With the  Xperia XA1  and  XA1 Ultra  soon to be a year old, odds are good that Sony will be introducing a new pair soon. And a supposed leak has showed us just what the Xperia XA2 and  XA2 Ultra  might look like just a couple of days ago — same razor-thin side bezels, same chin and forehead. Now, serial leakster @OnLeaks, who happens to have a pretty good track record on this type of leaks, has tweeted rendered images, which are allegedly based on leaked dimensions, which website Tiger Mobiles somehow got a hold of. We see the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner re-iterated — this would be

Deal: Unlocked LG V30 now costs less than $700

Image
Last month, LG officially released unlocked variants of its V30 and V30+ smartphones in the  US , selling them for around $800 and around $900, respectively. Now, the unlocked LG V30 can be bought for just $674.99 if you're getting it from B&H - that's at least $125 off the phone's original price. B&H does not say if this is a limited time offer, so we don't know if you should hurry up and order the unlocked LG V30. In any case, if you think you need this high-end smartphone right away, you can buy it via the source link below. The unlocked LG V30 works on pretty much all relevant  US mobile  carriers, including Verizon Wireless, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint. The handset is available in just one color version: silver. While it's still running Android 7 Nougat, the LG V30 is about to be updated to Android 8 Oreo. The phone's Korean variant received its Oreo update at the end of December, so the  US  model will likely be updated in the

We played HQ Trivia a few times and came away empty handed

Image
Unless  you've been concentrating totally on the latest battery issues affecting Apple and Samsung , you have probably heard of  HQ Trivia.  This is the app that is rewarding those with advanced knowledge of trivia, with real cash. We figured that we would give this a shot to see if we could turn our knowledge of useless information into some money. If you haven't played, here are the basics of the game. After installing the app on your iOS or Android device, you set up a free account and that is all you need to do to join in the fun. Games start at 9pm EST every day with a 3pm EST matinee on weekdays. But there often is a delay before the first question drops. Each game consists of a series of 12 questions that are introduced by a live host, whose main job is apparently to bore the hell out of you while you're waiting for the next question. When a question is asked, you see it on your screen with three possible answers. You tap on the answer that you believe to be right.

Audi Ditches Russian Doll Car Design So That You Can Differentiate All Its Model

Image
You don’t have to be a design expert to easily see that Audi’s designs have been quite repetitive in recent years, but all that is about to change. Plenty of automakers fall into the pattern of creating many different cars with the same look which makes it easier for the public to recognize the brand. Audi’s chief executive said the repetitive design process was used to make Audis more recognisable in newer and emerging markets. “Now we are well known in major markets like China, we can begin to change this philosophy and give each car its own look.” By getting rid of the internal combustion engine to adopt a fully electric powertrain, Audi’s designers believes the biggest step forward for design will come when the marque launches more electric cars after the E-tron quattro SUV, which will give them more freedom to alter the proportions and pave the way for a new design that will go in a very different way. Audi began the process of design differentiation

Budget-friendly LG Zone 4 for Verizon has been certified in the US

Image
Verizon plans to launch a sequel to LG's entry-level Optimus-branded smartphones: Optimus Zone 2 and Optimus Zone 3. However, according to Evan Blass , the new handset will drop the “Optimus” moniker in favor of a shorter naming scheme – LG Zone 4. We've learned about the LG Zone 4 two weeks ago, and the fact that it should be launched at Verizon very soon. Customers waiting for a budget-friendly Android smartphone will be happy to know that LG Zone 4 is very close to its debut. The smartphone has been recently spotted at FCC (Federal Communications Commission), which puts it one step closer to reveal. Sadly, no details about its specs are listed at the regulatory agency, but at least we know it will indeed come to Verizon since it features support for LTE bands 2, 4, 5 and 13. LG Zone 4 is listed at FCC with model number LM-X210VPP and comes with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS support. Just like its predecessors, the Zone 4 will be offered on prepaid probably for a pric

Samsung Galaxy S9 Specification, Price And Release Date

Image
All You Need To Know About Samsung Galaxy S9 And S9 Plus: Samsung Galaxy S9 Price, Specifications And Latest News. One thing about this year is that it's a year full of leaks, regardless how hard the companies try to prevent the leaks but they just keep on popping up. The most funniest part is that the unboxing video of OnePlus 5T was released before its official launch, a German blog also shared the images but unfortunately, they were asked to take it down. Earlier, Samsung also found itself in the same situation whereas Samsung is planning to unveil their next smartphone in early 2018. With the success of Galaxy S8 and Note8, Samsung is pretty confident with their S9. In a hardly surprising development, SamMobile has confirmed that there will be two versions of the Galaxy S9. The site discovered two model numbers for the handset - G960FXXU0AQI5 and G965FXXU0AQI5 - the first of which allegedly belongs to the Galaxy S9, and the latter to the Galaxy S9 Plus. The rep

Citi analysts say that there's a 4-in-10 chance that Apple buys Netflix

Image
Apple is sitting with a vault so full of money that even Scrooge McDuck is jealous. Every now and then, Apple uses some of this money to make a small acquisition. For example, the company recently took $400 million out of petty cash to buy music discovery app Shazam. The largest acquisition that Apple has made by itself is the $3 billion it spent to purchase Beats Audio. But if a pair of Citi analysts are correct, there is a chance that Apple will top that record by a factor of approximately 34. According to Citi analysts Jim Suva and Asiya Merchant, there is a 40% possibility that Apple will buy streaming video content provider Netflix. The latter currently has a market capitalization in excess of $80 billion. Add on a 30% premium and you're talking about a $104 billion purchase. Before Disney's bid for Fox, the two analysts gave an Apple-Disney combination a 20% to 30% chance of happening. The analysts say that a Disney deal would have a larger impact on

Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra leaks in live images with rather thick bezels

Image
Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra The t:Xperia XA2 Ultra is one of the many smartphones that Sony plans to reveal in Q1 2018. Previously leaked as Sony H4233, the device was recently spotted at the Malaysian regulatory agency SIRIM with its real name. Now, we have a couple of live pictures showing the phone's front and back sides. Despite rumors that Sony will completely redesign its Xperia lineup, the Xperia XA2 Ultra doesn't show any signs of improvement from this point of view. It's true, the phone comes with really thin bezels on the left and right sides, but the chins are as thick as the previous Xperia models. Still, this seems to be a mid-range device, so previous reports claiming we should expect bezel-less Xperia phones this year might be accurate, but only when it comes to top-tier handsets. Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra is said to feature a 6-inch full HD (1080p) display and a t:Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage. Also,
