TSTV was launched with the hype of t:affordability and flexibility of payment, and also amidst euphoria by Nigerians, who saw the pay TV as an alternative to the industry leader, t:DSTV. However, since the celebratory launch of the Pay TV brand, Nigerians have been asking: “Where is t:TSTV”. A day after launch, Nigerians went in search of TSTV decoders and found out that they were not available. The company explained that “operations would commence on November 1st”. #Telcom Satellite, operator of TStv Africa, the newly inaugurated indigenous pay satellite TV in Nigeria, has commenced distribution and installation of decoders free of charge nationwide. Ugo Madu, Head, Corporate Communications, TStv in a Statement on Tuesday in Abuja, said the action was in line with its promise to commence full commercial sales and operations on November 1 nationwide. Madu said the exercise was to ensure the proper monitoring and evaluation of the signal strength and quality of their channels and programmes nationwide. Digital satellite and PayTv operator, Telecoms Satellite Television (TSTv), yesterday, said it has commenced the distribution and installation of the 5,000 promo decoders across the country, pursuant to its full launch. The company, in a statement in Abuja, however, stated that accreditation of its dealers was still ongoing and that commercial sale and rollout of the decoders would not commence until the accreditation process is concluded. TSTV to begin commercial operation on Nov. 1 Telcomm Satellite TV says its newly inaugurated pay TV, TSTV Africa, will begin commercial operation on Nov. 1. Its Managing Director, Mr Bright Echefu, made this known while briefing journalists on Saturday in Abuja. Echefu added that TSTV would launch its services with about one million decoders nationwide.
