How To Hide And Show Vmware Player Toolbar
I have been using Vmware Player for quite some years, but the only
issue i was having with it was how to hide and show vmware player
toolbar to make it fullscreen on Windows as guest, i searched alot
through search engine but couldn’t find a way, recently i decided to
search again and i found one which works well and very easy. So am going
to share it with you in very easy steps.
I was running on Kali Linux as you know the taskbar is always at the top, while the vmware player toolbar is also at the top, so there’s always confusion when trying to hover your mouse at the top while that vmware player toolbar keeps anoying me, but here is a fixed for that, no one will know you’re running on a guest Kali Or Mac OSX,
I only tried this steps on Windows Operating System as guest but i haven’t tried it before on Mac OSX, but i think it should work and this tweak works only for this latest version of Vmware Player, if it didn’t work out for you, just use the comment box and i will tell you how to do it.
> Go to C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\VMware\preferences.ini it’s easy to locate
> Then Add the following line at the end of the code pref.vmplayer.fullscreen.nobar = 1
> Then save.
> Run your guest Operating System and maximize it, you will see it in full screen without the toolbar.
Now you’re done but how will you show the toolbar if you want to check on something on your host computer? It’s very easy just follow these steps.
> Then Press Ctrl+Alt key at the sametime, After that you will see the mouse cursor outside right.
> Then Ctrl+Alt key+Enter Key at the same time, That’s all,
