170 Behold Christ the Lord hath come The prince of peace. Isa. 9:6 Behold Christ the Lord hath come From His dwelling place on high From the throne of peace in heav’n To this wilderness of sin. Prince of peace and Lord of lords Our tribulation He bore He came to give us His light To drive our darkness away.

171—Father let me dedicate Father, let me dedicate All this year to Thee, In whatever worldly state Thou wilt have me be; Not from sorrow, pain, or care Freedom dare I claim; This alone shall be my pray’r Glorify Thy name. Can a child presume to choose Where or how to live? Can a father’s love refuse All the best to give? More Thou givest every day Than the best can claim. Nor withholdest aught that may Glorify thy name. A few more years shall roll A little while and you shall see me Jn 16:16 Few more years shall roll, A few more seasons come, And we shall be with those that rest Asleep within the tomb. Then, o my lord, prepare My soul for that great day, O wash me in thy precious blood, And take my sins away. A few more suns shall set O’er these dark hills of time, And we shall be where suns are not A far serener clime A few more storms shall beat On this wild rocky shore And we shall be where tempests cease And surges swell no more A few more struggles here A few more partings o'er, A few more toils a few more tears And we shall weep no more A few more Sabbaths here Shall cheer us on our way And we shall reach the endless rest The eternal Sabbath day Tis but a little while And he shall come again Who died that we might live, who lives That we with him may reign.

So teach us to number our days that we may apply our heart unto wisdom Ps 90:12 175-Days and moments quickly flying Days and moments quickly flying Speed us onward to the dead Oh, how soon shall we be lying Each within his narrow bed Jesus, merciful Redeemer Rouse dead souls to hear Thy voice Wake, oh wake each idle dreamer Now to make the eternal choice Mark we whither we are wending Ponder how we soon must go To inherit bliss unending Or eternity of woe Life passeth soon death draweth near Keep us Lord till Thou appear With Thee to live with Thee to die With Thee to reign evermore As a shadow life is fleeting As a vapour so it flies For the bygone years retreating Pardon grant and make us wise Wise that we our days may number Strive and wrestle with our sin Stay not in our work nor slumber Till Thy holy rest we win Soon before the Judge all glorious We with all the dead shall stand Saviour over death victorious Place us then on Thy right hand Life passeth soon death draweth near Keep

MY TIMES ARE IN THY HANDS-173 My times are in Thy hands Ps 31:15 My times are in Thy hand; My God, I wish them there; My life, my friends, my soul I leave Entirely to Thy care. My times are in Thy hand; Whatever they may be; Pleasing or painful, dark or bright, As best may seem to Thee. My times are in Thy hand; Why should I doubt or fear? My Father’s hand will never cause His child a needless tear. My times are in Thy hand, Jesus, the crucified! Those hands my cruel sins had pierced Are now my guard and guide. My times are in Thy hand, I’ll always trust in Thee; And, after death, at Thy right hand I shall forever be.
